Monsanto is a commercial breeder, processor and producer of cotton planting seed - sold under the Deltapine brand. The breeding programme commenced in 1991 and has released many locally adapted varieties. Monsanto aims to produce high yielding, good quality and disease resistant varieties which combine the performance of Monsantoo's genetic traits to meet the current and future needs of the Australian cotton grower.
